Hey everyone!
I'm not sure how many of you guys are using Adobe Story, but I think I overheard someone say that they were and wished that Story had shortcuts. Well, actually, they do, and I find them to be really helpful, so I thought I'd might as well post them here.
Shortcut Key Strokes for Adobe Story:
Ctrl 1--Scene Heading
Ctrl 2--Action
Ctrl 3--Character
Ctrl 4--Parenthetical
Ctrl 5--Dialog
Ctrl 6--Transition
Ctrl 7--Shot
Ctrl 8--General
Hope this helps!!!

If anyone is interested in my work...
I've started posting some of my films that I've completed for my SIM class last semester to THIS blog.
Also, as far as screenwriting goes...
For several years I've been working on a screenplay on and off. This particular copy is of the first re-write. I therefore acknowledge that it's quite imperfect in many ways and the technique and format is off as well. That said, I think it is an enjoyable story, many others have read and enjoyed it so far, I hope you do too.
If you happen to read it and have any critique, tips, comments, hate it... whatever you feel, feel free to comment and thanks in advance.
Download Here or read in browser (the edit tools will not save).
(Prof. Hammond, I have a hard copy for you.)

Great Short Film - "Nuit Blanche"
If you haven't seen this one already, then enjoy. Please feel free to post your favorites on this blog. I have sent out invitations to everyone in both classes to become authors. If you are having trouble signing in, let me know in class and we will be sure to get you on.

UN CHIEN ANDALOU
Here is another dose of Surrealism for you. I talked about this Luis Bunuel & Salvador Dali film in class last week and how we are drawn to the idea of "story" even when there is supposedly none. The Dali Museum is in St. Petersburg. Check it out. Bunuel would go on to a long and productive career as a filmmaker. Several of his movies are available to stream on hulu.com. "The Exterminating Angel" is a good place to start.

THE LAST CIRCUS
Here is the trailer for a film I mentioned in class today. Although this movie might not be to everyone's taste, it is a good example of how you do not have to limit yourself when you are putting your project together. This writer/director is an artist who allows his sub-conscious to dictate a large portion of his filmmaking output and, as a result, creates work that is imaginative, surrealistic, sometimes shocking, sometimes funny, and quite a bit different than almost anything being made today. If you are interested, it is streamable on Netflix.
